Single review from Playlouder, June 2006.

Good things hover up in Fenland, it seems, for this debut single from Cambridge chaps The Resistance is arguably the best song of the week by a band we've never heard of before. Guitars that sound like a gradually strengthening harsh Siberian wind bending frozen winter reeds, a pulsing electronic-tinged rhythm and taut bass lead '(Crossing The Road) With You Eyes Closed' (really no need for those brackets, was there?) in a Krautrock march past, 'Sleeping' would be perfect disco fodder for automaton ghouls, and 'Polar' is, well, rather glacial.
