Gig review from Rhythm Online March 2005.

Sonic Nurse, the Portland, Cambridge.

The Resistance pretty much defy description. Quite possibly the most exciting new band to come out of Cambridge in aeons, they manage to simultaneously both bludgeon
and hypnotise you with their huge wall of sound generated by guitars and laptops, and images of kaleidoscopes, asymmetric patterns and mushroom clouds projected onto their backdrop. Tonight's set comprised one non-stop continuous avalanche of sound that periodically mutated into and out of a version of Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray", ably assisted by Matt Abysmal from Khe Sanh Approach on vocal duties, who boasted fine shades and an even finer smoking technique...
Having seen them live twice now and been blown away both times, we think this is one local act that could, and should, go on to bigger and better things - here's hoping.
